Baby Sitar

Baby Sitar... I've been playing raags to Felie Pi since his conception.  and now that he's out of the womb I think he recognizes the sound... at the very least he seems to enjoy the sound.  A few days ago Ali and I were playing together with litle Felix in betwee us and I was reminded that he was staying next door to us in Dharamasala when Felix was concieved... I also remember those nights at the foothills of the Himalayas as being some of the most magical, ethereal music sessions that we've had.  We were trying crazy runs and hitting every thing!  sound - Kya Baat Hai...

the begining!

It's been over a week now with  Felix Pythagoras in our world.  Nina and I couldn't be any happier!  He is the cutest, calmest being I have ever known.  Being a father is such a great feeling.  I can just stare at him for hours!  Last night he came to  show I was playing and was the star of the night... infact the entire room sang a song for him.  The night before him and I were up in the middle of the night, and since there's not much for him to do other than eat and sleep, we stared at each other and then started a reggae dance party!  he was grooving to the riddims of yellowman, barington levy, and beanie man... dat bwoy is de king of de dancehall for reals! 

So we've started this blog to dedicate our thoughts and photos of our handsome hero!
